Kevala Yoga Sadhana

Sadhana in yoga means daily practice. Every Sadhaka (person on yogic path) does this practice every day. In yoga, certain times of the day are considered powerful as the flow of energy in our body and mind is very active and heightened. The most powerful time of the day is ‘Brahma Muhurta', the time before sunrise, which is particularly auspicious for such practices. which literally means the time of consciousness. It is believed that practicing Yoga at this time of the day gives maximum benefit and helps people evolve on the yogic path. Experience the power of Kevala Yoga Kriya and ancient Yogic Asanas during this auspicious time

Welcome to our Kevala Yoga Sadhana class, a complete traditional practice. During this class, we will focus on the principles of Kevala Yoga Kriya, including mudras, bandhas, and pranayama, to deepen our practice and cultivate a deeper connection with our inner selves and the divine.

Our session commences with the sacred practice of Aum chanting, creating vibrations within and around us with an intention to uplift the energy, setting a harmonious tone for the hour-long experience. The first 5 minutes are then dedicated to gentle rotations and stretches of the joints. This initial phase is crucial because during night sleep, the air element in our body is increased, and upon waking up, engaging in these gentle movements helps release this accumulated air element from the joints, preventing potential pain over time.

The next 35 minutes are devoted to sun salutations and various postures designed to stretch different parts of the body, providing a comprehensive full-body workout. Following this, we'll wrap up our practice with Kevala Yoga Kriya, a traditional technique that involves Yogic Breathwork (Kapalbhati & Bhastrika), Mudras, and Bandhas. This approach helps synchronize our breathing rhythm with nature, making it an ideal practice to experience a complete traditional session for both body and mind, fostering holistic well-being.

By the end of the class, you'll feel as if you've shed layers of tension from your body. The traditional technique and meditation wrap up the session, leaving you with a sense of centeredness and grounding.
