Sadhana in yoga means daily practice. Every Sadhaka (person on yogic path) does this practice every day. In yoga, certain times of the day are considered powerful as the flow of energy in our body and mind is very active and heightened. The most powerful time of the day is ‘Brahma Muhurta', the time before sunrise, which is particularly auspicious for such practices. which literally means the time of consciousness. It is believed that practicing Yoga at this time of the day gives maximum benefit and helps people evolve on the yogic path. Experience the power of Kevala Yoga Kriya and ancient Yogic Asanas during this auspicious time
Welcome to our Kevala Yoga Sadhana class, a complete traditional practice. During this class, we will focus on the principles of Kevala Yoga Kriya, including mudras, bandhas, and pranayama, to deepen our practice and cultivate a deeper connection with our inner selves and the divine.
Our session commences with the sacred practice of Aum chanting, creating vibrations within and around us with an intention to uplift the energy, setting a harmonious tone for the hour-long experience. The first 5 minutes are then dedicated to gentle rotations and stretches of the joints. This initial phase is crucial because during night sleep, the air element in our body is increased, and upon waking up, engaging in these gentle movements helps release this accumulated air element from the joints, preventing potential pain over time.
The next 35 minutes are devoted to sun salutations and various postures designed to stretch different parts of the body, providing a comprehensive full-body workout. Following this, we'll wrap up our practice with Kevala Yoga Kriya, a traditional technique that involves Yogic Breathwork (Kapalbhati & Bhastrika), Mudras, and Bandhas. This approach helps synchronize our breathing rhythm with nature, making it an ideal practice to experience a complete traditional session for both body and mind, fostering holistic well-being.
By the end of the class, you'll feel as if you've shed layers of tension from your body. The traditional technique and meditation wrap up the session, leaving you with a sense of centeredness and grounding.
Kevala Yoga Kriya offers a wide range of benefits, including helping us cope with anxiety and depression, strengthening our pelvic floor muscles and organs, promoting a strong reproductive system, and a healthy digestive system.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, our Kevala Yoga Sadhana class offers a transformative and empowering practice that can help you awaken to your true nature and experience the many benefits of Traditional Yoga. Join us and discover the power of this unique and effective yoga technique.
The Kevala Yoga Sadhana class is now available for online attendance, as we have initiated live class options for the community.

ASHTANGA Vinyasa yoga is a highly structured traditional Vinyasa style of yoga based on the TRISTHANA principle which literally means attention at three places.
The three elements are known as:
· Asanas (Postures)
· Ujjayi Pranayama (specific style of breaths)
· Drishti (Gazing point – looking at specific points during the flow)
The Postures, breath, and gaze are intricately woven together throughout the entire practice. These three separate elements are performed as one action by doing specific series of Yoga Postures in a specific sequence, with a specific style of Ujjayi Breaths while focusing on specific points during the flow (Dristi).
This style of yoga is very effective for strengthening the body, increasing flexibility, cultivating mental focus and discipline. There are 6 different sequences/series in Ashtanga Yoga each of which builds upon the previous one. In this class, we will focus on the primary series also known as ‘Yoga Chikitsa’ in Sanskrit, which literally translates to Yoga for health or Yoga therapy.
Throughout the class, we will move through a series of postures, including sun
salutations, standing poses, sitting poses and lying down poses, which will challenge
your strength, flexibility, and balance. Our experienced teacher will guide you through
proper alignment and modifications to ensure that you are getting the most out of each
pose.
Towards the end of the class, we will conclude the series of postures with a meditation
practice to release any tension or stress by entering a state of deep relaxation to calm
and heal the whole body.
We hope you enjoy this dynamic and challenging Ashtanga Yoga class which is
designed to balance your mind-body connection, calm your nervous system, make you
feel centered within and increase your strength and focus.
Welcome to our Restorative Yoga class, designed to promote relaxation, rejuvenation, and deep healing by stimulating and working on the Parasympathetic nervous system of the body also known as the ‘Rest and digest’ system of the body. This class is perfect for those who want to slow down, release tension, and nourish themselves on a deep level.
During this 60-minute class, we will move through a series of gentle yoga poses, supported by props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks, designed to promote deep relaxation and release tension in the body. We will focus on slowing down the breath and activating the body's natural relaxation response, which can help reduce stress and promote a sense of calm.
Our experienced instructor will guide you through each pose, providing gentle adjustments and modifications to ensure a comfortable and nurturing practice for all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis. We will also incorporate breathwork and meditation techniques to help you stay present and centered throughout the practice.
We invite you to join us for this deeply nourishing and restorative practice, and discover the healing power of slowing down and taking time for yourself. See you on the mat!

Welcome to our Eye Rest - Trataka Yoga class, a gentle and rejuvenating practice specifically designed to care for your precious eyes and provide deep relaxation for your entire being. In our fast-paced, screen-centric world, it is essential to take time to nourish and restore the health of our eyes, and this class offers the perfect opportunity to do so. A unique and meditative practice that harnesses the power of candle gazing to cultivate deep focus, concentration, and inner clarity. Trataka, meaning "steady gaze" in Sanskrit, is an ancient yogic technique that involves fixing your eyes on a single point, typically a candle flame, to still the mind and awaken a heightened state of awareness.
In this class, we will guide you through a series of gentle asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) to prepare your body and mind for the Trataka practice. You will be introduced to the principles of focused attention and mindfulness, setting the stage for a transformative experience. Through gentle stretching, targeted eye movements, and conscious breathing, you will learn to cultivate a mindful connection with your eyes and enhance their well-being. You will also be introduced to techniques such as palming, eye rolling, and eye massage, which can help reduce fatigue, improve focus, and promote better sleep
As the candle is lit, you will be encouraged to softly gaze at the flame, allowing your attention to rest upon its gentle flickering light. Through the practice of Trataka, you will learn to steady your gaze, calm the mind, and develop unwavering concentration. This technique serves as a powerful tool to quiet external distractions, release mental chatter, and create a sense of inner stillness.
Beyond enhancing focus and clarity, Trataka Yoga also stimulates the third eye (ajna) chakra, which is associated with intuition and insight. As you delve deeper into the practice, you may experience a heightened sense of self-awareness, increased clarity of thought, and a profound connection to your inner wisdom.
This style of Yoga is suitable for practitioners of all levels, including beginners. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the practice, offering variations and modifications as needed. No prior experience with candle gazing is required—just an open mind and a willingness to explore this ancient yogic technique.
Join us for our Eye Rest - Trataka Yoga class and embark on a transformative journey of focused awareness and inner clarity. Discover the power of a steady gaze, unlock the depths of your own consciousness, and cultivate a sense of inner peace that extends beyond the mat into your daily life.

Shankha Prakshalana: A Traditional & Advanced Yogic Cleansing Technique of the Alimentary Canal
Shankha Prakshalana, as described in Hatha Yoga texts like the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, is a purification technique aimed at cleansing the entire alimentary canal. The term "Shankha Prakshalana" translates to "conch purification" in English, where "shankha" refers to a conch shell, and "prakshalana" means a wash.
The rationale behind the name lies in the resemblance of the abdomen to a conch shell. The practice involves cleansing the abdominal region and the colon through a specific process. This process includes the consumption of a specific quantity of saltwater and the performance of specific yogic postures.
In simple terms, Shankha Prakshalana is a yogic cleansing method designed to purify the digestive tract from the mouth to the anus. The practitioner drinks a specific amount of salt water and performs prescribed yoga postures to facilitate the thorough cleaning of the alimentary canal.
