1: Introduction to Rope Yoga (1 hour)

  • Welcome and icebreaker.
  • History and evolution of rope yoga.
  • Benefits of rope yoga for physical and mental well-being.
  • Safety precautions and considerations.

2: Types of Yoga Ropes (2 hours)

  • Different types of ropes and their properties.
  • Choosing the right ropes for your practice.
  • Knot tying and rope handling skills.
  • Anchoring ropes securely.
  • Adjusting rope length and tension.

3: Rope Yoga Poses and Alignment (7 hours)

  • Introduction and practicing key poses with ropes, such as supported backbends, forward bends, hip and shoulder opening poses and inversions
  • Understanding alignment and cues.
  • Discussion on modifications for various body types and limitations.

4: Sequencing Rope Yoga Classes (3 hours)

  • Principles of sequencing rope yoga classes.
  • Creating balanced sequences for different levels.
  • Incorporating warm-ups, Traditional postures, and cool-downs.
  • Preparing sample sequences.

5: Therapeutic Applications (3 hours)

  • Using ropes for therapeutic purposes.
  • Addressing common physical issues with rope yoga.
  • Using props for therapeutic techniques.

6 : Teaching Methodology (2 hours)

  • Effective communication and cues.
  • Hands-on adjustments and assists.
  • Providing options and variations for students.
  • Safety considerations in a group class setting.

7: Teaching Practice (3 hours)

  • Participants take turns leading short rope yoga sequences..
  • Fine-tuning teaching skills.

8: Practice Yoga with Ropes: Attend 4 Complimentary Sessions at Kevala Yoga (4 hours)

  • To attend Four Rope Yoga sessions at the studio
  • Closing remarks and acknowledgement

**Note: After attending the training program, you will be a certified Yoga with Ropes teacher with comprehensive knowledge to practice or lead a Yoga with Ropes session. However, to teach at studios, you must check their respective policies, as some studios may require a 200-hour certification along with this certificate. For instance, if you wish to explore the opportunity to teach at Kevala Yoga, we require a 200-hour Teacher Training certificate.
