What is Vigyan Bhairav Tantra?

In modern times, Tantra is often misunderstood amidst varied interpretations. Yet in yogic traditions, Tantra meditation stands as a profound, ancient method, offering a gateway to grasp the essence of traditional meditation. Each practitioner in yoga is guided by a guru, crucial for navigating its teachings and energies, preventing confusion and stagnation on the path.

Vigyan Bhairav Tantra stands as the most ancient text dedicated to Meditation, presenting a collection of 112 techniques. Vigyan Bhairav Tantra is essentially the science of consciousness, where "Vigyan" signifies science, "Bhairav" signifies consciousness, and "Tantra" denotes the tools, utilizing meditation to delve deep within and merge with the Supreme Consciousness. According to The ancient Yogic tradition, the origin of this text traces back to the primordial times when the Adiyogi, known as Shiva, imparted the wisdom of these techniques to the first Yogini, Parvati. Through these methods, ranging in diversity, seekers are guided towards spiritual enlightenment and the realization of unity between individual consciousness and the supreme consciousness.
