Train with traditional Akhada weights to build strength, power, and endurance through an ancient system of functional movement and mindful practice.

Rooted in centuries of tradition, Akhada Yoga uses authentic strength tools such as the Indian barbell, club, and mace to deliver a complete full-body conditioning system. While often perceived as upper-body focused, this practice trains the entire body - developing strength, mobility, endurance, and stability in an integrated way.

Unlike conventional gym training, Akhada Yoga incorporates off-centre loading and circular, multi-directional movement patterns that engage stabiliser muscles, improve core strength, enhance joint health, and build functional, real-world movement capacity.

Each session combines dynamic strength work with breath awareness and focused attention, turning movement into a grounded, meditative practice that strengthens both body and mind.

For centuries, these methods have been used in traditional physical culture to cultivate discipline, resilience, and balance. Today, even athletes across disciplines draw on similar training principles to support total-body performance and longevity.

This class is accessible to all levels and can be modified to suit individual capacity, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
